How can I configure my system so I can leave DHCP off yet still have an internet connection? You can get long time outs when you open select folders using DNS which reverts to netbeui over tcp if you're not using the fqdn. But If I have one shortcut folder open than the second one open time is fast, but if I close them than the first one is slow again. I eliminated them and everything works fine, now.
