Suddenly, the screen came alive - the system booted up - went straight to Windows XP. You may not want to do that date so go to where it says choose a different restore point and click next. I was so worried that I was screwed. I think it's either bad memory module or motherboard failure.
Is there any way to avoid this to happen again? I push the power button and then both the blue power light and the yellow charging light are flashing on and off. Did it feel hot on the bottom before shutting down? And what could possibly be done to fix it?
HAPPY DAYS. It's very unlikely that both memory modules failed at the same time, and if your problem is memory related, the laptop will start properly when the bad module is removed.
