If the game is compatible with 64bit it doesn't change. Any advice on why only part of the screen is on the fritz? XP looks for such a file on boot up. I think you might have a video card related issue and if it is, the lines of dots will appear on both screens – internal and external. When first powered on, there is a pink tint to the display. I took this picture from Toshiba Satellite M65. See I have a ThinkPad laptop (600E.) See when I first started my laptop up, it would turn on, but it would remain a black screen. It is a laptop so mucking around the with graphics card isn't an option either. It’s either a bad LCD screen or bad video harness.
